MoviesVladimir Madhas is a successful Indian film producer, distributor and exhibitor of Hindi movies and a film distributor based in India.[4] He is the current chairman of KriArj Entertainment. His production company mainly handles Tamil films. He is known for giving the titles of his films in Hindi instead of the original language. His output was around 100 films over a period of 30 years. His son Arjun Madhas is a film director known for his debut film Born Free in 2015 and next Chidambaram Cheyyir Tharaiya in 2017. His daughters are actress Suchitra and actress Tanisha Mukherji.[5]
He is one of the biggest film distributors in India and India's first distributor of Tamil Cinema.Madhas completed 1,200 theaters in a span of 14 years with 7,000 screens.[6] The chain is now named as Madhas Cineplexes (MCC) and is reported to be the largest exhibition chain in the Indian subcontinent.[7] The company runs two additional multiplex cinemas at Dubai and one at Bhopal.[8] The company also operates several auditoriums in India, and has a tie-up with the Chennai city corporation.
Madhas Cineplexes are also the largest distribution partners in the Tamil film industry.[9] Over the years Madhas has also been working with international companies. He has been working with DreamWorks for the release of Peepli Live and is planning to launch his production company in Hollywood.
